LCG Celebrates Community Development Week

Lafayette Consolidated Government’s (LCG) Department of Community Development (DCD) is celebrating Community Development Week April 15-18 with a host of free community activities.

LCG assets include the Acadiana Park Nature Station, the Lafayette Science Museum, the RoseHouse Senior Center and Housing and Federal Programs, all of which are overseen by DCD, will host a variety of free activities such as open houses, presentations, tours and workshops throughout the week.

DCD Director Dr. Shanea Nelson said “Community Development Week is an opportunity to showcase the services provided by our department and the people behind the work. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for our constituents and we thrive on face-to-face interaction with our clients.
